Coconut Grove is one of Miami’s oldest neighborhoods and is comfortably tucked between Brickell and Coral Gables. Many of the homes are waterfront or walking distance to Biscayne Bay. The community takes pride in its lush greenery, narrow streets, wildlife preserves, bayfront access, well-preserved structures, and ivy-coated brick walls. The charm that is Coconut Grove extends for a mere 5.6 square miles and has a population of approximately 20,076.

You will find a variety of flavors ranging from Atchana’s Homegrown Thai, Bombay Darbar Indian Restaurant, Monty’s Restaurant and Raw Bar, Strada, and Greenstreet Cafe to upscale vegan, Planta, and casual American like LoKal, a laid-back burger and sandwich favorite with local sustainable ingredients and craft beers. Coconut Grove is where you will find a plethora of food options, ice cream shops, coffee shops, and Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop where they sell the best pies in town. The strolling, cycling, and shopping opportunities share space with the casual diners gathered under umbrellas and shade trees. Coconut Grove is where people go to meet, people watch, and enjoy the day.

Coconut Grove is home to quaint bungalows shaded by Banyan trees and peacocks sharing the streets. The architecture in the Grove includes old Spanish and Mediterranean-style homes, contemporary and modern-style houses, large estates, condos, and townhouses. Kennedy Park is a magnificent waterfront park offering an off-leash dog area, outdoor gym, walking path, beach volleyball, and the famous A.C.’s Icees. Peacock Park is walking distance from Coconut Grove’s business district and encompasses a 9.4-acre bayfront space with a basketball court, a softball field, soccer field, a playground, peacock aviary, and a skatepark. The adjacent Kenneth M. Myers Park hosts the Coconut Grove Sailing Club. Nearby Dinner Key Marina complex provides dockage and watercraft access to Biscayne Bay. Additional marinas in and around Coconut Grove include Grove Key, Grove Isle, and Prime and two private yacht clubs: Biscayne Bay and Coral Reef.

​​​​​​​Coconut Grove is home to historic landmarks such as The Barnacle Historic State Park, located in the heart of downtown Coconut Grove and contains a 19th-century home and replicas of two Victorian sailboats, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, a 20th century subtropical-style Italian villa sitting on 10 acres of gardens with century-old plants, and the Kampong, one of the five gardens of the non-profit National Tropical Botanical Garden.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival is the pride of the community with over 300 artists showcasing paintings, photography, sculptures and more. The festival attracts up to 120,000 visitors each February.

Coconut Grove is 4.5 miles from downtown Miami and just 15 minutes from the Miami International Airport.
